Appointments came in by phone and message while the staff had their hands busy. The paper diary was the only source of truth, double bookings were routine, and nobody knew which services actually made money.

I worked from the chair outwards. The client-facing booking had to be finishable in under a minute on a phone; the internal calendar had to be readable at a glance from across the room.
